Bloomsbury House

A Creative Coastal Retreat

Imagine a few days where life slows down.

Where mornings begin with the sea air, sketchbooks and coffee, afternoons are spent experimenting with colour, and evenings end with tired feet, happy conversations and the satisfaction of making something that didn't exist before.

That's the feeling James and I hoped to create when we lovingly restored Bloomsbury House in the heart of Sheringham.

Just a short walk from the Blue Flag beach, it's a welcoming self-catering retreat for up to eight guests, filled with original artwork, cosy spaces and everything you need to relax, recharge and enjoy the beautiful North Norfolk coast.

For those who'd like to explore their creativity, I also offer small, intimate Abstract Alchemy workshops, held either here at Bloomsbury House or in my light filled studio at Blanefield in nearby Beeston Regis.

No experience is needed.

Just curiosity.

Together we'll explore colour, texture and expressive mark making in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where there's no pressure to get things right, only the freedom to play, experiment and discover.

Whether you're planning a creative weekend with friends, looking for a unique team retreat or simply longing for a few days to reconnect with yourself, my hope is that you'll leave feeling inspired, refreshed and perhaps a little more curious than when you arrived.

More than an art retreat, it's an invitation to slow down, awaken wonder and rediscover the joy of creating.
